Where are you located?

Lacada Brewery is located at 7A Victoria St, Portrush BT56 8DL, on the North Coast of Ireland. Look for the salamander logo over the door.

When is the Taproom open?

The Taproom is open 104 evenings a year, typically on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 PM to 10 PM. During special events like the Golf Open, we may have extended hours.

Do you have a shop at the brewery?

Yes, our brewery shop is open year-round every Saturday from 12 PM to 5 PM. During June, July, and August, we are also open on Wednesdays from 12 PM to 5 PM for off-sales and merchandise.

Do you offer brewery tours?

Yes, we offer tours for groups of 10 or more. Please use the contact form on our website to arrange a private tour and tasting.

Are you dog-friendly?

Yes! We are dog-friendly. You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dogs when visiting the brewery and taproom.

Are children allowed in the taproom?

Yes, children are allowed in the taproom when accompanied by an adult.

What is your best-selling beer?

Our best-seller is **West Bay**, a Citra Pale Ale known for its zesty notes and easy-drinking character. It's closely followed by **Rathlin Gold** (Irish Pale Ale) and **East the Beast** (IPA).

Do you have gluten-free or non-alcoholic beers?

Currently, we do not produce gluten-free or non-alcoholic beers. Our focus is on traditional craft ales, stouts, and lagers.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery within Northern Ireland typically takes 2-3 business days.

Do you deliver to the Republic of Ireland or Great Britain?

Currently, our online store primarily ships within Northern Ireland. We do not offer standard shipping to the Republic of Ireland or Great Britain at this time.

Where can I buy your beer on draught?

You can find our beer on draught at the Lacada Taproom, as well as local venues like Kiwis Brew Bar, Portrush Yacht Club, Harry's Shack, and the Portstewart Arms. We also supply various bars in Belfast and across the North Coast.

What does 'Lacada' mean?

The name 'Lacada' comes from *Lacada Point*, a rocky promontory near the Giant's Causeway. It is derived from the Irish word *Láca*, meaning 'salamander'. This connects to the salamander brooch found in the wreck of the Girona, which features in our logo.

How can I become a co-owner?

Membership to the co-operative is currently closed. Join our mailing list to be the first to hear when membership re-opens.

Where do you get your ingredients?

We source many of our ingredients, including malt and hops, from local suppliers like *Get 'er Brewed* to support the local economy and ensure high quality.

Why is it called 'East the Beast'?

It's named after the famous surfing wave at East Strand in Portrush. The name evokes the adventurous spirit of the North Coast, matching the bold, fruity flavors of the IPA.

Can I buy a keg for a private event?

Yes, we sell kegs for private events. Please contact us directly to discuss availability and pricing. Please note we cannot spare time or equipmment to set up the keg at your event - you or the staff must be able to do this.
